Yukon Nominee Program (YPNP)

Yukon Nominee Program (YPNP)

The Yukon labor market, which has a population of just over 30,000, is in dire need of foreign skilled workers to meet the high demand for skilled and semi-skilled occupations.

YNP streams consist of:

  • Critical impact worker
  • Skilled worker
  • Express entry
  • Community Program for Yukon (includes a Critical Impact Worker and Skilled Worker stream).

The National Occupational Classification (NOC) of the job offer determines your stream:

  • Occupations in NOC Skill Levels C or D fall under the Critical Impact Worker stream.
  • Occupations in NOC Skill Levels 0, A, or B fall under the Skilled Worker stream.

For example, if you’ve been offered a job as a Food Counter Attendant (NOC code 6711), you’d apply under the Critical Impact Worker stream because you fall under NOC skill level D.

Employers who want to nominate a skilled worker can do so through the Skilled Worker or Express Entry channels.
